DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) is a standardized system of specifications to transmit MPEG-2 encoded digital signals. This technology is a suit of internationally accepted open standards for digital television. DVB standards are maintained by the DVB Project. DVB is organized in a group of about 200 organizations in 23 countries.
